Explaining the Principles of Quantum Mechanics through Vijñapti-mātratā

Question: Quantum mechanics describes a scenario where a stationary particle decays, producing two photons that travel in opposite directions over vast distances. If one photon is measured or disturbed, the other photon responds accordingly. Why does this happen?

Answer: Because these two photons share the same origin, both emanating from the same particle. This particle is composed of the four elemental seeds. After splitting into two photons, the structural composition of the four elemental seeds in both photons remains identical, establishing an intimate correlation between them. Regardless of the distance separating them, they exert mutual influence upon each other. In reality, the space between the two photons is void, composed of the seed of emptiness. The void formed by the seed of emptiness has no distance; it is nothingness. Thus, the concept of distance between the two photons fundamentally does not exist. No matter how far apart they may seem in the conventional physical realm, they essentially remain part of the same particle, bound by mutual constraints, gravitational forces, and identical functions. Therefore, a change in one inevitably triggers the same change in the other, due to their shared origin.

Moreover, all matter in the entire world is formed by the aggregation of the four elements from sentient beings sharing collective karma. Consequently, everything is intimately interconnected, to the extent that moving one strand may affect the whole body. However, this degree of interconnectedness is far less profound than the correlation between photons originating from the same particle. Since void and space lack inherent existence or inherent nature, does the concept of time still hold? It does not. Through studying these teachings, we gradually realize the emptiness of all phenomena. In truth, if each person were to exert just a bit more effort, the mind would become empty, potentially even reaching the ultimate state. Yet, due to the severe deficiency in the provisions of merit for the path, one can only imagine, plan, and intend to practice and realize emptiness. The result is an inability to actualize emptiness or muster the necessary effort. Therefore, emphasizing doctrinal principles alone while neglecting the accumulation of merit will prevent progress on the spiritual path.

Compared to the teachings of Consciousness-Only, the emptiness expounded in the Lesser Vehicle is insignificant and not worthy of discussion. The emptiness of the Great Vehicle is genuine emptiness—utterly empty, ultimately empty, unequivocally empty, immaculately empty. Not a single thing exists; not a single phenomenon remains; not even a speck of dust persists.
